Though he is best known for his editorial fashion photographs for publications such as Harpers Bazaar (for which he produced, in 1963, the "Bubble" series of photographs depicting fashion models "floating" in giant clear plastic bubbles suspended in midair above the River Seine in Paris), Vogue, and The New York Times, Sokolsky's work is not limited to that field.

Audrey would have loved it.
I can't remember if I've already written something about Balenciaga's latest fall collection. If not, then now. A lot of people know that I totally adore Audrey Hepburn, especially her costumes in her 60s movies. Back then she was the muse of Hubert de Givenchy. He himself designed those wonderful outfits to be seen in "Breakfast at Tiffany's", "How to steal a Million" or "Funny Face". I found a text he wrote about this connection, how it was meeting her and working with her and also with - tada! - Christobal Balenciaga. What an incident?!
