The Project.

My first days with my spy bag are over now. I have to say: It's done a good job in the allday routine so far. But it's not that huge as I thought it would be. The lining is much smaller than the outside suggests. So that's why it's very much ok for my usual stuff, like moleskine, makeup, pens, tabbaco, purse, keys, gum, blistex, stomac pain killers, novel (book), deo, sunglasses, mirror ... But coming to spontanous over night staying kit - that's crossing the line, in more than just one way. But in the end it works for me. And that's the main reason, I guess. And nevertheless it's kind of posh this whole fake snake skin. But Annie Gee says it suits me and I say: Well yeah, it goes with my white hair and my gold jewellery project. Next thing: Blood red lips. Already started.

Jem. Truly Outrageous!

Anyone remember "Jem"? I remember her pretty well. And I also remember that I once had a comic book of her and her life as a rockstar. The Story is about two sisters, Kimber and Jerrica, whose father just died. Then they are introduced to Synergy, a holographic computer created by their late father, who is able to create "Jem," an alter ego for Jerrica to front a rock and roll band. Jem and her band "The Holograms" are always competing with another band - the bad-girls of "The Misfits".

Now I found a great website about her cartoony wardrobe. It's a great collection sporting mainly crazy 80s fashion in all categories - beginning with onstage-costumes, ski-racing outfits and extraordinary swimwear.
I always thought that Jem is only a comic published as books, but now I see: It was a TV cartoon, too. But I think it was never aired on German television.

Fly with the wind. But fly.

The first three days of the worldcup are over. It was surely exciting and very interesting. Also for me - I was able to study a lot in a fashionable way.

#1 - Long hair is back.
#2 - Tight jerseys (<- love that!)
#3 - Trikottausch - Jersey Exchange

For the moment #1 is the most interesting. Watching the game Germany vs. Costa Rica on Friday I immediatly fell in love with Thorsten Frings and his amazing hairstyle. We recognized that he's arriving the field with wet hair which dried during the match. But during the halftime break he moistened it again. And so we asked ourselves, "Why? What for?" Is it some kind of a refreshment? The wet hair flying in the wind when he runs across the field. 'Cause at first we thought Frings hair was sweaty or greasy. But NO - it was just wet. If somebody knows more about this technique, please tell me.

Another interesting part about the hair was the hair-band. Not only Thorsten Frings but also Didier Drogba (Ivory Coast) or Hernan Crespo (Argentina) were sporting this amazing styling accessoire. The question is, why do they use this hairband? I mean, I know why, but it's not really effective. Wouldn't it be better to use a scrunchy and run with a nice ponytail? And who introduced this to all those soccer boys? Is it Beckhams fault? Can we blame him for that?

Anyone a new hairstyle?

Bored of your hair? Sick of washing it? You always wanted to try a different color? Then try this:

One of my favourite blogs - fashionologie - wrote about it: "Crafted by hairstylist Neil Moodie and Flora McLean of House of Flora, these sculptures, or "hairts" as they're called, may not be all that practical for everyday, but in an editorial, they'd be wicked."

Jem. Alive.

I just love Flickr. There's always someone who has already done it. In this case: dress up as Jem.

How to: Get white blonde hair. A manual.

First of all: it's gonna be a long way. Keep this in mind while reading on.
It took me nearly a year to manage the right color and everything. And to start with you really need a very robust hair structure, which I - lucky me - have.

#1: Dye your hair with the strongest blonde dyeing thing you can get in your local drugstore. I can recommand a few: Poly Palette, Nutrisse, Schwarzkopf Blonde (I'll check the numbers and exact names later). There are of course other colorations, like bleaching powder for example, but you can only purchase those in special hairdresser shops. But go for it and have a try. I would be very interessted in it.

#2: If you're not naturally blonde the whole process will last even longer. Yeah and there might be some hat-wearing phasis included. I guaranty for nothing. Someday I read an article about Ashlee Simpson wanting her natural hair color back after she dyed it black in an act of protest because of her sister Jessica. It took her 5 dyeing sessions in a row to get the blonde back. And it was all dirty red in the meantime. So think of that. But my advise is: Don't do 5 sessions in a row. Your hair will be like shit after that. I did it once with 2 sessions and a day between - and that was already a hard thing to cope with for my hair.

#3: With reaching the right lightness it's not enough. It happens that the bleached hair gets an ugly shade of orange or yellow (which also karl described in his comment). But I found a solution for this nasty thing. You have to treat your hair with special shampoo and other styling products. The special thing is it has to be shampoo for white or grey hair. No kidding. It really works. I use "Guhl Révité". The shampoo is purple. That's why it's able to reduce the yellow shade. Kind of a chemical thing, I guess. They - the colors - cancel each other out in some way. I think it's simply because of this complementary color thing. I also used "John Frieda's Sheer Blonde" styling mousse "Star Blonde". But I changed it to some cheaper Schwarzkopf thing. And once a week I use a silver coloration for grey hair.

Update: I finally found the piece of paper where I once wrote down the brand and number of the silver coloration I used. It's: Londa Londeston Easy Colors "Silver Shine" Nr. 89. It'a a easy-to-use mousse coloration, and by the way it's a very cheap one to. You can get it for only € 1,95. You can use it 2-3 times, depending on your hair structure and how many hair you got. It really worked. But be careful with how long you're keeping it in your hair. I once forgot to rinse it out in time and then my hair had quite visible shade of purple. But this was over by the next time I washed my hair again.
