Boys! It's not over!
I'm back from the dead. Sorry about this lack of contact but J was in weimar to visit us all and stayed at my home so we had a lot to do and talk about. And the weather... you know. And at home I'm offline. But now I'm back and there's a lot to say.
#1: My dearest German soccer boys: On Tuesday the game was a slap in my face, too. Everyone went quiet. I went outside on my balcony, leaning against the wall, breathing the fresh air and thinking, "This can't be true. This is just a bad dream"
Now - two days later - I'm feeling better, still a bit sad, but my optimism is back. Boys, you did a great job. You definitely made my summer. I had such a great time with all my friends infront of my TV. We all love you guys. You've made us proud.
On Saturday it's our own final - come on - against Portugal. That's even the better final than the actual one. We can still make it to 3rd place. As Borowski said, it's about winning the golden pinaple. Whatever that's supposed to mean.
#2: We definitely won the prize for the best-dressed coaching team. Look at them - Klinsi & Jogi - everytime dress to impress. They are a dream couple. I got some nice pictures of them in partner look - I have to scan - and also some lovely articles by the SZ to quote. But that'll be later.
#3: I made a list. Now in the end I decided - for me - who are best looking guys of the world cup and the German team. Although my favourite is Torsten Frings I don't really think he's good looking in that way. It's more about his hair and the situation during the first game. But now I realized that he's really a talented and good player (concerning soccer, of course). And sure the whole country missed him on tuesday and felt for him.
Here're the lists.
+++++head turner+++++
+ Arne Friedrich
+ Christoph Metzelder
+ David Odonkor
+ Sebastian Kehl
+++++cutie+++++
+ Philipp Lahm and his cracking voice
+++++best hair+++++
+ Torsten "Totti" Frings
+++++worst hair+++++
+ Bastian Schweinsteiger
+ Lukas Pudolski
+ Michael Ballack
+ Jens Lehmann
+++++best performance+++++
+ Jens Lehmann
+ Torsten Frings
+ David Odonkor
